Dead car from Yoprkshire to Sussex

G'day

My son has used my Ebay account to buy a dead Hyundai Pony -and now wants it collected. Doah!

Sadly I cant -distance & health (yadda yadda) -so I need someone to shift it for me.

Its a lengthy journey -so it wont be cheap, but the car is worth the square root of  diddly squat- so I guess price is the key motivator.

Its in Brighouse HD6, and needs moving to the south coast -kinda midway Brighton/Portsmouth. BN18

So if any of you bright enthusiastic young things have sufficient  space on a truck heading south- shout at my son (or me) , pleez!

Guess I'm picking up the tab......

Deep joy

How much did he pay for it? what is wrong with it?

Maybe someone local who has space could store it for you until it can be fixed / hiab'd

Be cheaper to just pay for the car and leave it there.

Or say you mistook Brighouse for Brighton, an easy mistake to make, and cancel the purchase.

Far to many already playing that game though and not exactly in the spirit of fairness,

Could it be driven down.

Edit, just read the above link and if it's that one then no it doesn't drive.

Yup, that one.

Gawd knows why, but I'll not back out.  Not my style.

Happy dayz

I'd be very proud - buying a knackered non-running car that's about as desirable as a dose of the pox, as well as being the other end of the country, is for life's winners. Hope the story ends well.

Thats the way I see it. My only sprog remotely interested in old chod, hes made his first move away from 'modern'.

Hes watched me buy worthless tat at the bottom of its depreciation curve for years,  preferably unusual, rare or obscure -and i reckon a 23 year old £102 Pony fits all those criteria- classic Autoshite. Add reasonable condition, out of MOT (as opposed to failed) and I reckon he 'might' have done well.

Shiply quotes are coming down, it may well make a nice pairing with its soulmate, my Stelllar.

Pity its not a mk1 - but it'll be just as rare pretty soon.

So, I'm proud. Hes done ok for a newbie and I will support him whatever he does. We all start someplace
