LS400s generally get the 'well that's not as horrific as I expected from a V8' reaction from everyone.

 

It is a remarkably 'economical' engine, although I think the 5spd auto is even better as it's not raging at 70mph.

 

I did a 60 mile 50-60mph waft in Mason back when he worked* and I am quite certain he was pootling along at near 30mpg.

Going to brim it at East Kilbride Morrison's (unless any locals have any better suggestions?) in the morning and see how badly it did at 74 on the cruise control. 175 miles since brimming, 205 miles since collection. I feel really relaxed - and so do all the passengers!
