That's no way to talk about Tickman. Not to his face anyway...

Excellent to hear they are good. I've had my Dremel for years but I've never found it suited me. The heads only last 5 mins and you need to wear goggles even if there's no sparks as they tend to break up and fly off!

This filter is 13 weeks and 5700 miles old..

Doesn't look that great eh? I think I'll have a swatch at the E G Rshole..

A word of note. Should anyone ask you to do anything with an egr on a vw engine, JUST SAY NO.

what a pita to get off, cleaned and back on..

Made a bit of a difference though.post-17572-0-91422900-1495743861_thumb.jpg

Inaccessible for what is essentially a service item. Hopefully that will improve things for you there 😀

I finally managed to get a video made with a wee review of this- on the way down to trade it in for the Alfa...

That's an awful lot of engine block stuffed in there.

I consider it "sufficient"

BUMP 4 REEL FRED

Yo, 320T, this has finally started misbehaving! It sometimes dies, and you can either catch it or it'll die off completely, then be a bastard to start. Also when hot, it was to refusing to start then dropping off again under load when it did fire up, then just went find and drove great.

Any ideas, please? I would have though the EGR would be ok (clean-ish) as I've been wellying it round recently (last 1,500 miles) so it shouldn't have bunged up.

Only issues it ever gave were either fuel filter (its had 2 in my time) or an issue with it cutting out - gave a cam sensor code but could see no issues with it, and swapped a new one on , all earlier in this thread.

One thing to try is self bleeding the filter by turning on ignition, waiting til fuel pump stops, then off again. Do it a few times and see if it starts up.

If so, possibly drawing air in at filter.

Other than that, nae ideas, and the 320T warranty ain't as comprehensive as the Cavcraft one;)

Good luck!

No warranty expected, me old China!

I think the fuel filter is the first thing to try, it's possible it's gathered shit in the bottom of the tank over the years, and it does run a bit crap when low on fuel.

Cam sensor ? Same symptoms as mine when mine died .

Twice actually, I recently had to rob one from the vrs engine I have spare, it also felt slightly flatter and a big drop in mpg.

Listen for if fuel pump in tank makes a noise when it won't start. My Touran had similar hot start problem

Erm...as this is playing up, the Vectra still isn't MOT'd and the clutch still slips on the Ignis, i took the sensible option of buying a Corsa D that doesn't work properly.

I'll get a fuel filter on Saturday and try that, hopefully it's something minor as it's a pretty useful 'spare' car to be fair.
