After the 2006-facelift, the SBC-brake was sacked. So the facelifted version is the one to go for.

Very, very little rust, due to someone undersealing it:

In fact, they are so rust resistant, that people often assume that they are galvanised.

Which they aren't.

Still, they don't rust.

My '93 9000 went through one of the nastiest grittiest coldest winters ever with a down-to-the-metal scabby stone-chip right above the passenger's side rear arch.

Not a micron of rust appeared.

The S60 has a nasty scratch down to the metal on the passenger door and I can see rust beginning to appear very slowly but I'm pretending not to see it.

Nightmare, i thought all Rialto's were galvanised? The chassis on mine is mint.

They were, but chassis were often stored outside till a sufficient batch was made to be sent for galvanising.1992/3 cars are the worst, chassis can be as bad as a 60s regal.

Phase 1 405, nice!

They do rust, but not as badly as contemporary cars. The newest 405s are nearly 20 years old now so it's inevitable.

Compared to the Sierra they don't rust. God some of the Sierras were dreadful for rust, sills, arches, spring hangers, floor, everywhere!
