Anyone want any of these before they go?

I figure they're mostly not even worth the postage so I'm not expecting much interest - just didn't want to be getting shot of anything someone really needs.

Pale one in the first pic is the Haynes R8 / R10. R17 TL and TS and R15 parts books on the far left.

AA car care (how to make sills fro chickenwire & newspaper) and the BSM care care book would be of interest. :)Oh and the R15/17/16 brochures if no-one else has 'dibs' :)

AA car care (how to make sills fro chickenwire & newspaper)

My grandfolk had that book when I was a nipper. Full of excellent tips about repairing dents with bean cans, fixing holes in your crankcase with bean cans and fashioning a child booster seat out of bean cans.If you back out of such a high-profile deal I'd love to have another copy :)

It's a quality publication, I'd want it purely for amusement purposes. My father has a copy, and it's like his car maintanance bible. Bean cans and trowelled-on wag are his fresh metal & mig welding. I used to despair at this approach when I was younger (like the time he fashioned my a new window regulator for my skoda estelle out of the lid of a beans tin), now it's just comical - i.e. when he can't get his hands on my cars and I don't have to travel in his lashed-up horrors.

Can we all post manual \ brochure related tat in here?

I would contact Hirst or Spotted Laurel (or go on to OJC) before binning the Japanese stuff - those Toyota factory manuals will deffo be of interest to someone with Japanese inclinations. Generally any factory published manual is far more desirable & useful than a Haynes one - or the sub-Haynes crap (Autodata, Autobook, Intereurope - all total rubbish IMHO).

Can you scan that AA manual in, I need to replace the sill and floor of my MR2 and can't be assed welding for MOT in a couple of weeks. ;)

Okay.Pog - hope you don't mind if I earmark the R16 TS brochure for Ratdat (seems fair as he has one). The AA book, BSM car care and the R15/17 brochure for you? Those JAE mags are an interesting read too if you want them. That AA thing is huge - if you can bear the wait then it might be best to get it to you by hand if we're both at some event over the summer? Postage will be a bit costly otherwise. The left over 15/17 parts books and driver manual okay for you Nigel? Haynes manuals (15/17 and 12) too if you want, along with the two Saab books.Mat T has PM'd me for the Hiace-related stuff.I can try to save postage by getting them to you over the summer - at 'events' and such - otherwise, PM me with addresses and I'll send them.Anyone for any more?

Ah, suspected that might have been so. No worries. Worth a shot all the same! :)

Anything you want to tell us Mr XR, or is this pre emptive of a future car?? :D

Only that I'll be at the front of the queue when you decide to sell yours ;)

I've got some factory R14 service manuals and a couple of special tools for one.

My uncle has a copy of the AA book of the car - its a good read, even if it is from a purely hostirical point of view. I too was shocked at the chicken-wire repair on the old Jag's sills  Also full of drawings of cars that were purely fictional but looked like they would be quality shite nowadays.
