Pneumatic suspension - legal usage?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I saw on one of those cop shows once a car being seized by the law because the owner had used his adjustable suspension while driving.

There are quite a few cars out there that have this - including the early 3L v6 safrane - and some which will automatically drop down a few inches at motorway speeds.

So what is the law regarding this sort of suspension setup?

If it was a custom job and the driver failed the attitude test, they would find part of the C&U regs or simply go with a driving offence, up to dangerous driving, deeming someone being an arse and not being in full control of their chariot.

spot the difference and take a guess as to which one the police will be interested in......

If I recall, it wasn't that he used it whilst driving.... It was that he was driving it at dipshit height but as he was pulled over he raised it so they couldn't measure the height. So yeah, failed the attitude test.

Wasn't it a dubber of some type? I seem to remember something about rolled arches but the tyres still made contact with the bodywork.
