If you do decide to break the A4, you'll probably make decent coin off the Polish, they seem to like them.

Very true! Most of my spares were bought by polish fellas (all very straightforward transactions) and a couple of items were posted to Russia.

The scrapyards often won't take it these days if it's missing several bits. Not just that would you chance inviting somebody from Gumtree you've never met to take an engine out on your driveway?... Gets halfway through after chopping through all the wiring loom, thinks fuck this! 😂

Breaking my old Vectra was a PITA and I wouldn't do it again. I was lucky insofar as FOADS mate bought the interior and Richard bought the winter tyres, and the eBay buyer for the wheels was a gent aswell but that was all offset by the utter moron that bought the exhaust, provided the wrong address and then phoning up, getting my wife on the phone and ripping her a new one when it didn't arrive.

I'll bet my own actual chappie that Cartakeback will give you £45 for the car.

If you have access to a two post lift and a small barn, it's a doddle. If you are doing it on a drive in the rain it's a ball ache of epic proportions. Why not offer it to someone on here who may make use of it?

Doubt anyone would want it! Alloys probably worth a bit though

My mum let me keep the puma on the drive luckily, and it took 3 months. Couldnt sell the shit wheels with good tyres as I needed it to roll onto a trailer to take it to the scrappy.

I did take the engine apart down to the head for a laugh though, learnt nothing though sadly

No, didnt get that far, and because I removed stuff willy nilly I couldn't put it back together again

Which wasn't an issue cos it was fucked, but I should have carried on in hindsight

When the kids are older, if they fancy a project car they shall have one!
