Just picked this beauty up :D been stored in a garage since 1998 - starts and drives no problem and from what I can tell it's pretty soild. May need a patch to the o/s/r sill. Under the bonnet is mint. It's a nice original unchaved example. The guy i bought it off (in his 70's??) was an Elvis fan and he stuck badges on the dash - Elvis on the right and Lisa on the left :o Hopefully they will remove ok. Only done 70,000 and has lovely orange and black interior. Sorry cant get any better pics yet I can't open doors now it's on trailer and I wont be going to see it again for a few weeks (stored on a mates farm)

Been after one of these for a while - I hope it's not too terminal so that we can get some summer running out of it . Any help with what to look for / any things to look at after the long lay up particular to this model (apart from the usual) would be appreciated ...

OMG RWD JDM TYTE DRFT Y0.

 that made me chuckle - suffice to say the diff will remain unwelded !! and the interior will not be stripped out (unless I scrap it LOL) And I actually like the standard rims as well

Nice. I remember when I was a nipper, one of the girls I knew's Dad had one. I think I fell in love when she operated the pop-up headlamps. Probably with the car though, which is a bit sad. But strange is the mind of a seven year old! That's just reminded me. Her Dad also had an Audi 100 coupe project and I distinctly remember us jumping all over it - he didn't care as he knew it was scrapyard fodder. If only I could turn back time!!

My favourite feature on these is the fact that the cylinder heads have 2 spaces for a spark plug per cylinder, but only 1 is machined to take a plug.

Don't forget to hit it with a big stick and paint it satin black etc........

Any pictures, that sounds amazing. You should certainly leave them on too, as a conversation piece.

I honestly wish I took a picture of the guy himself - When he answered the door he had an hawaiian shirt on (most of the buttons undone) a fake tan. Jet black hair filled with brycream. I really had to hold myself from pissing myself. My mate kept saying things like - does it have the service history ? and in an elvis accent he'd go 'huh huh' And then he said I bet it's a heartbreak that you have to let it go :o Honestly how I didnt wet me cen i'll never know. I tried getting a picture of him by the car with my camera phone but he just moved out of shot :( He was clearly a lover of TAT as he had a 1999 kia Shuma (been stood 5 years 30k from new) a proton saloon that he's had from new and another Kia - magents I think..In fairness the guy was a fine bloke and the Silvia looks a good un with a good clean the car should come up great.. Just need to see what horrors are underneath before I commit to putting it on't road..

Japanese spec engines did have twun plugs. It was something to do with the NAPS anti pollution system.I did a production car trial today and my mate actually came first in an S12

Nice to see a Silvia that isn't an S13 or S14. Sick to fucking death of these cars, the S12 makes a nice change!
