Hankering for another one of these, ideally a coupe.

Any spec/guise considered, must have MOT.

Was gonna post on local to me one ebay up (328i touring manual) but

Shot up to over a bag with the quickness though.. Do well to escape the drift scene tax on these nowadays i think mate.

My mate blew 4 500 quid ones up in quick succsession in about 2008.. wish i bought a decent one then.

Dont fancy an e38 do you spruce? Haha :o

I'm muttering about selling my 1999 318i Convertible. It's a nice tidy one with with no grotty arches, black leather and a new rear window. But it's done over 200k and I'd need 800 quid minimum so I suspect I shall be keeping it. Dark metallic blue, new front screen as well plus it was MOT'd last month with no advisories. I replaced the springs and dampers in late 2014 plus a new rear exhaust. It has near enough FSH. Air con works as does the original radio. Definitely one of the nicer ones and there is some real shit about.

'Fraid no 7 series for me!

Scene tax is a pain. My old man had a T plate e36 compact for donkeys years, sold it about 5 years ago with a genuine 61k on it for £650, mint and untouched. They just weren't desirable but now I love them.

Bluejeans, sorry I'm after a bit of a dog in all honesty and at real shitter money.

Wonder where my old one is now? Ken had it then I think colc had it

S718XNF was a silver 318is Coupe Auto and that car was spot on with a ream of service history and 2 keepers. It went well, but my first E36 Coupe was a 323i in about 2008 and that felt really fast, got nicked within a few days of owning that. R267VBY in Montreal blue.

Only e36 ive driven is a 318is cracking engine...

God they were fucking peanuts about 5 years back though pains me,

can remember someone having a 318tds saloon with a real odd spec, sunroof loads of goodies with a red pintstripe down the side think it was a sytner car

I blame DWYB, Saying that above doesnt look to bad for the readies.. I reckon you could get a cheapie still just maybe off gumtree and its someone who doesnt really know what theyve got , right time right place.

You can't beat an E36 with the M44 engine as in the Ti and Is versions but it's now getting hard to find a decent low mileage manual example for little money if your prepared to travel, but there's still quite a few decent m43 examples about for under a grand if you don't mind a compact or saloon which are mainly autos...

There's this one on eBay at the moment though but it might be clocked and it would need dechaving but it's supposed to have 33000 on the clock but looking at the panel gap on one of the wings it might of had a bash in the past

But if you sell those horrid wheels you could get some decent original wheels for the same money.

Also there's quite a few decent compacts for under a grand at the mo on eBay and there's even A low mileage compact sport with the M44 and manual gearbox on there.

Please buy them all. I'm sick to the back teeth of spending my nights pulling them out of fields and ditches. We must have a dozen in the pound.

Just bumping this incase anyone sees or hears of an old shitter, I don't care about bodywork at all must just be roadworthy with MOT. Any e36 considered. I missed out on a right shitter with MOT til September and even a towbar for £195 ovno a few days back, annoyingly.

Budget is low, I'm talking £400 max.

Appreciate that, I'm watching a couple on there currently but holding out on the off chance a real shitter turns up for pennies. I'm wanting something to pretty much strip out and use as an MOT'd amateur drifter as I live within 20 mins of two tracks that hold open drift days.

I've just bought a two owner 100k R reg 318i for £99 - original bill of sale etc. Was utterly, utterly mint until it clobbered something - needs a bonnet, nosecone and bumper struts but both bags have gone off and the screen's cracked.

Sadly, it's fate involves EMR in the not too distant. But there are enough E36 spares to be pillaged (four recent Uniroyals) to keep me going until 2026.
