Sloth in a bowl Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Given that many of us are traveling to Shitefest from all over, I thought that having a meeting a Gaydon on Friday would be worth the triphttps://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/ before heading to the Shitefest location 35 miles away. I was planning on being there at about 12:00 but suggest that people turn up whenever, then we convoy to shitefest at about 4:30ishThe food at Gaydon was pretty good last time I went if you are not packing yourself Gaydon is near junction 12 of the M40 but....WARNING: junction 12 of the M40 is not currently usable during the dayfrom the north get off at junction 14 and follow the A452 and B4100 southfrom the south get off at junction 11 and follow the B4100 north from Banbury Route to Shitefest from Gaydon then runs:South on the B4100 to BanburyEast on the A422 to BrackleySouth on the A43 then East on the A421 to BuckinghamThen onto the secret location of Shitefest it is about 35 miles and should take about an hour plus Friday afternoon rush hour bollocks chaseracer and Skizzer 2

Richard Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I'd have loved to come down for that. Curse my work for not giving me the day off, in fact curse my work altogether.
Six-cylinder Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I would but I have a caravan You can always drop the caravan off and then go to Gaydon, it is only about 3/4 hour away.
17-Coffees Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I'm planning on heading there on Saturday or Sunday, as will still be up north 'somewhere' at that time on the Friday. - Can't get over the fact it's this week, will be good to meet you's all(and the cars) and such! rantingYoof 1

Sloth in a bowl Posted June 23, 2016 Author Posted June 23, 2016 Just a bump and reminder for anybody who missed this earlier in the week.

chaseracer Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Bollocks. I have to work tomorrow morning, so Gypsy Rose Bub will make his own wobbly way to Gaydon and I'll meet all y'all there early afternoon. purplebargeken 1
bub2006 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Hope its not too wobbly......anyone else going m1 and down?
RayMK Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I'm a possible for the Gaydon meet but I'll go home afterwards. This will enable me to meet some of you who may be training on Saturday during my somewhat brief appearance at Shitefest - around 11am - 1pm because I've got a school reunion to attend in Wendover in the afternoon. I'll probably be in my 205. I'll use the Stellar for Shitefest on Saturday.
JohnK Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I will be giving this a swerve now, I'm about 4 hours behind schedule!
Skizzer Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I'll probably be too late as well. Bloody Jag electrics have voted Leave. oldcars 1
chaseracer Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I'll be leaving in about half an hour. Toll road, so ETA Gaydon 1300-1330 approx.
RayMK Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 I met Bub and sloth in the bowl at Gaydon. We had a good look round inside whilst the rain started. When I returned to my car, there was a white 205 parked next to mine. I'm home again now but will hopefully meet more of you tomorrow around midday. I've again had to postpone washing the Stellar because it's peeing down. Parking under a tree which has dropped blossom and pigeons with loose bowels has made the car look disgusting. Maybe a quick hose down tomorrow before braving the mud.
purplebargeken Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Mitsu all packed! Just need to remember the camera and map in the morning Tamworthbay 1
chaseracer Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 ...there was a white 205 parked next to mine. See below! (It's not white any more...) RayMK 1
