I'm only a few miles away, so if anyone needs it looking at/ photographing...

This isn,t the one that was on there recently, this car is totally unknown to me!!Its actually close to me aswell, and after speaking to the seller he said it runs well, and drove in/out for the pics, got cloth,no A/C so it had no options when new,i think £500 buys it,i,am very tempted but one is enough, and that one is in our showroom at the moment,i plan to get pics sent to someone to post for me,its got loads of attention, but i must say this e-bay one needs to be bought,if anyone on here plans to buy it,please contact me for any advise/help etc as i would love this to be saved from being robbed for its engine/gearbox and the rest scrapped...

If this 'MUST' be saved, why don't you buy it and then sell it on to whoever you think will look after it?

Cos i haven,t got £500 free....!!!I must admit,i bought one for £500 a few years ago to break up,but also got this delivered from Exmouth to Surrey, its £500 plus the transport home(Can anyone help in that area??)plus tax/MOT so it starts to add up,150k isn,t low miles either.

I am tempted, but no T & T, and such a long way from me, I don't think it's doable.

Go On you know you want a Turbo, and in your favourite colour???

I know nothing about these atall!Dont even remember them when new, are they like Renaults answer to the BMW M5?

Posted

Well, I'm not sure there's any real comparison between and M5 and a Renault 25 Turbo in quality terms, but both are certainly very swift executive chariots - they just send their power to different ends!I know which one I'd rather have... (and no, I don't bloomin' have £500 either!)

So do I, though you wouldn't get one for £500.

Yup - like every Renault since the demise of the 10 in the early '70s. Well, unless you count the B110, but that was an Iveco Daily in drag so doesn't count. And the 21 and Espace Quadra of course, which were 4x4. The 25 puts its power down pretty well though - I've never had a turbo, but I've had a 2.9 V6 and that was great to drive until the autobox went pop.

 I did actually nearly put "every road-legal non-HGV Renault" but I didn't think anyone would be this pedantic. Should have known better really...:wink: I did forget about the Clio V6 and the Sport Spider though. And the Safrane Biturbo for that matter, which was 4wd. And the Renault 5 Turbo 1 and 2. So basically I was talking out of my arse. The A610 wasn't badged as a Renault though, so that doesn't count. Don't think I've ever come across a RWD Trafic - that's a new one on me, I thought they were based on R18 running gear?

Renault GTA? :D

:lol:Well you did dig yourself into the most magnificent hole by mentioning something as obscure as the B110 ! :) I was also going to list the Magnum and Midliner trucks, the PR100 and Agora citybuses, then there's the tractors... but thought better of it ;)Suppose there's Koleos too :P
