Silver '06 1.9 tdi 105hp octavia with 127k and full history, replaced by a dragon green '06 2.0 tdi 140hp octavia with 89k.

 

2.0 tdi Octavias go like stink!

I've had a few now. Really have to say that they're a great all round car. Massive boot. Roomy inside. Reasonably quick. Well made. Once you get over your family giving you stick for driving a taxi you'll be fine! If the taxi ranks swear by them, they have to be good.

Sorry, first post, been a bit of a lurker on here, have ran multiple Octavia's over the last 15 years, great cars

 

You probably know, but well worth checking if your 2.0L has had the oil pump drive modified; they really do fail with alarming regularity.

 

And the BXE 1.9s really aren't like most 1.9s, 3 have shit themselves on me in the last 12 months, well serviced but well used cars

 

Tbf, I still have 11 of them and there's nothing close to them for the taxi game. I'm struggling to figure out what to replace them with; the next cycle will have to be 2010/2011 on and the 1.6 is a real shitter as they get older
