Radio for dumped cars

On Radio 4 yesterday lunch time (12:00 - 13:00) they did a feature on the increased amount of dumped car. Its probably on their I-player if anyone was interested.   DVLA say that 90K less destruction certificates, per annum, are being issued, so the assumption is more are being kept on wet lawns or dumped.

It's nothing at all to do with the price of scrap being low and cars having a stay of execution .......

No doubt more cars are getting dumped - but that doesn't account for fewer CoDs cos the dumped cars get lifted by the council and fragged anyway.

My mate has 4 cars sat on his drive awaiting higher scrap prices. I think a lot of folk would rather let their old car sit than take £20 for it.

If they actually advertised the bumpers, bonnet and doors on gumtree, they might find they get a decent wedge.
