simmo Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 The 5:45 am M4 commute is not normally a good place to do a bit of spotting but this morning this came past me.J-Type? Sigmund Fraud, cros, Junkman and 4 others 7
Junkman Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I have no idea what it is, but it sure looks like what I'd like to commute in if I had to commute.Or a Model T. AMC Rebel 1

vulgalour Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 They have the sort of styling only its designer could really love. FakeConcern 1
mercrocker Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 "Dog Kennel of a body perched on a racing car" was one contemporary quote, I believe....I think its rather nice! vulgalour 1
jonny69 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Loved the old days of being able to buy engines and stuff to build your own cars. Step 1: ring up Ford. "Hi, can I speak to Henry Ford, please?" "Just a minute..." "Y'ello, Henry speaking..." "Hi, it's Syd Allard. I'd like to buy some flatheads and Pilot chassis to build my own cars." "Yo, wassup dawg! How many d'ya need?" SiC, Mr A Lawrence, simmo and 6 others 9
Station Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 SA: "Hi, it's Syd Allard. I'd like to buy some flatheads and Pilot chassis to build my own cars." HF: "OK. Firstly a) Are you a Jew?" SA: "No" HF: "b) Will it be black?" SA: "Yes" HF: "OK BUD, CAN U COLEKT TONITE BUD?" cort1977, mercrocker and FakeConcern 3
simmo Posted November 26, 2016 Author Posted November 26, 2016 My dad's mates car, the old man was in it when it reversed into a lamp post at speed. Magnificent Rustbucket, mercrocker, Asimo and 1 other 4
simmo Posted November 26, 2016 Author Posted November 26, 2016 I think my dad had a share in this one Magnificent Rustbucket, mercrocker and vulgalour 3
vulgalour Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 That drophead looks lovely, the rear end treatment is immeasurably nicer than the saloon was inflicted with, if decidedly more conventional.
320touring Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 These look absolutely tip top! What a lot of honeys! Gotta love a lush motor like these- like a Super Snipe with a touch more class
FakeConcern Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 That drophead looks lovely, the rear end treatment is immeasurably nicer than the saloon was inflicted with, if decidedly more conventional.Shame it's the front that's so hideous!
tooSavvy Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Henrys 'I beam' front axle was chopped/dropped/centre pivot (a la Imp!).... A 'think out da box' Allard "no need to buy in a bespoke part, lads" innovation. TS
worldofceri Posted November 26, 2016 Posted November 26, 2016 Love seeing motors like this out and about on the daily grind. I was very pleased to be overtaken by a Morse-spec Jag in Thursday's rush hour. Proves you can run these cars every day, all year round if you've got the stones and/or deep enough pockets.
