Someone has been paying attention!

Do you really have 4x 106s?

I would have thought 2 would have been plenty ;)

Nah Chris, us three Brothers_Cleland have one each, and the green one is Mike's; a former lodger at Castle_Cleland. And we have the Bubbered Saxo as a breaker.

Ready for off:

Top shite marks for the phone, not only rocking a 3310 with pride like it's 2001, but it's fitted with a high-qualitee* £shop facia.

Phone of win.

Chodspeed 4 da colexion - what are your plans re: unofficial Cleland rules that one must have a breaker the same as your runner?

Mike's replacement steed is clean and ready to go!

That's a 3410 actually :geek:

Still have two myself!

Let me get this straight MrK ... You traded a 7 series, for an Alto, and the Alto now for 106?

I just see 5 skips in that picture, a yellow one, two silver ones, a green one and a red one.

Correct... My mate bought my 730i and traded the Ignis as part of the deal to make the balance up.

Joe's mate bought the Ignis and used the 106 to make up the balance.

I will use the 106 as a runabout for a bit.

Bloody hell, this must be a Cleland collection first: There and back in daylight, I've had me tea, and the sun's only just setting!

That said, it was maybe the first not to include a Megabus in wellies, a bent A-frame, or a sketchy old trailer.

Cheers John :D

First impressions from Mike: Bloody hell, everything's different! The indicators are on the wrong (right) side, and it just revs and revs, he's not experienced a petrol, let alone something as perky as this.

The clutch is a bit higher than he's used to, so giffertastic pull-aways have been the norm on the way home.

We were on fumes, so pulled off the A-whateveritwas and found a Tesco:

Get in!

I heard the giffertastic pull-away just after you left! I did mean to signpost you to the nearest fuel station which was just down the bottom of the road from me but it slipped my mind until after you had both gone.

The 106 has been used for the takeaway run tonight and will be heading to the pub shortly. I forgot how much fun my old 106 diesel was, having to keep the speed up through corners and on roundabouts!

Glad he's happy with it Joe, he seemed a canny fella and hopefully the little Ignis will do him a good turn.

Mike's a fairly new driver, and was a bit close to the wheel, so I got him to slide his chair back a notch when we stopped. That helped a bit, but he'll get used to it soon enough.

On our way north in the 106, we passed the spot of "That Incident" in the summer of 2015, when I was last on my way to deliver a motor to John_K...

There's still a small gap in that hedge...   :D

What incident was that, Joe?

I have a vague recollection, but I can't remember the details??

No that's Joe's old 216, which is now in bits at my old mans.

My 216 was the L-reg, the famous 220 is on an "M":

John then "bought" it again as a breaker.

We digress...

Mike and me were making good progress this sunny Yorkshire evening, so stopped for a pint in the poshest Dales pub nearby:

The sommelier gave us a bit of a look up and down as we went in. Bollocks to 'em!

I piloted it home from t'pub - it's a proper hoot! Much more at home on our lanes here than the dual carriageway up John's way, ideal for Mike and his Mrs to bezz about in locally.

It's low geared, revvy and eager. It's a bit bouncy over rough bits, but not roly-poly at all. Joe_Cleland hoon test approved!

Castle_KruJoe achieved. Thanks again John, Mike thinks he's robbed you!

I told you she was fun to throw around the twisty roads didn't I... My drive home the other evening was a right laugh.

He's got a good deal on the car but I've got back what it owes me and still have the 106 to get some use out of... Suits me!
