Yeah, Ken, me too.  I'm thinking more and more seriously that a Toledo or Dolly 1300 would be an ideal companion for Hyacinth.  It's probably safe to start looking, my old brown one went to scrap over 30 years ago...

The sills and O/S rear wheel arch should repair nicely. The N/S rear wheelarch may need a panel. The N/S front wing lower may need a panel. The TDC will provide :) Not expensive either.

hoping to get away with making my own bits where needed but useful to know they exist in case I end up needing them. I have a nice folding machine at home and a better one at work with a roller built in as well. I wonder if it has had a poor respray at some point as the paint seems to have lifted rather than rust coming through on most of it so can save most of it hopefully with a load of deox c gel.

they are seriously good value at the moment, probably the cheapest mid 70s cars around. Even the sprints don't make that much compared to other makes. I just missed out on the Toledo on here and decided that I had looked idlely for too long and needed to bite the bullet before it was too late.

And forgot to mention that we saw a chavved up metallic blue late Granada on the A45, I can't remember the last one I saw.

I like the Dolomites but for me, the Toledo will be my favourite. I love the older looking boot lid :)

I would love a three door but they are making silly money compared to other toledos and Dolomites.

They always have done, but they are lovely.

lol, idiot modern thinking, two door of course, unless you are a mass murdering hgv driver in which case it could be seen as a three door.

What is that YELLOW MONSTROSITY doing taking up covered space?  *grumpy face*  I've got half a mind to go there with a tin of white emulsion and FIX IT.

I thought New York, b'ham, Punjab was quite funny. The guy was moving so had to shift his small collection but he is keeping that one.

Subtle, still a bit wrong but....

Thanks mate, the SE was just such an unknown quantity and the guy was so evasive on what was wrong it that I was just not sure of it. He may have been 100% genuine but I just didn't get a good feeling about it overall. This one was owned a seikh gentleman who was an absolute pleasure to deal with, I can't remember buying a car off a nicer bloke! The pictures do flatter this one and with the cat c it will never be worth anything but I don't care as,I just want one to drive to a few shows and stop off at the pub for lunch. Inside is immaculate though, nice place to be.
