Ghosty Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Did you find a proper job?Not yet, but I do at least have proper pay now. chaseracer 1
3VOM Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 8th might be better for me too as I might have a car roadworthy by then.
Guest Hooli Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Next week is fine with me, I'm glad I bounced it if the rest of you had forgot.
Dave_Q Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Sounds like the 8th then, I'm about 50/50 on attending but will update da fred.
Ghosty Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Reminder bump. It looks like I'm going to be coming straight from work on Tuesday, so I'll probably be anything up to an hour and a half late, and on my bike. The Prelude is currently immobile and I doubt it'll it won't be fixed by Tuesday either.
bub2006 Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 I'll come on trike. chodweaver, chaseracer and Ghosty 3
Guest Hooli Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Because it's such good weather I'll come in the car, my bike jacket is off getting spilt seams stitched up.
bub2006 Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 One thing I don't miss about bikes is getting togged up. Don't need to as much on the trike.
Guest Hooli Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 The one bit I don't like is always wearing a helmet, I'd go without at times if I could.
chodweaver Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 I wouldn't. I've been hit in the face on a push bike enough times by bits of gravel. And bees.
bub2006 Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 I used to wear flip front lids. Enclosure when needed and ventilation at slower speeds. I do enjoy not wearing one on trike though. My lad wears one on it though. I don't want him twattish by bees, stones or birds! chodweaver 1
Dave_Q Posted May 7, 2018 Author Posted May 7, 2018 Live odds on my attendance: was evens, now 7/3 on. Live odds on being late: 1/10. chodweaver 1
Guest Hooli Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 I always ride in an open face lid anyway, so bugs etc are nowt new. chodweaver 1
bub2006 Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Been smacked in the face by plenty of bugs on M1 today. Almost as good as when a bird hit my chest on the bike. He was squeaking and flapping,I was screaming back at it until I managed to stop and the flappy fecker flew off chodweaver 1
Guest Hooli Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 My ex hit a pigeon doing about 80, left her with a huge impressive bruise all over one shoulder. I was impressed she didn't come off tbh.
Guest Hooli Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Greenfinch in the mouth at 20-25mph tastes a lot like mud is one I can attest too. I must have looked like Colin for a moment! bub2006 and chodweaver 2
bub2006 Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 On topic, wife will be joining me tomorrow as weather looks fine too. chodweaver 1
Guest Hooli Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 I can normally figure shite out, still trying to understand your gauges?
bub2006 Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Gauges and main beam and horn. I have a multi meter and connectors/electric tape. Will explain more tomorrow if you wouldn't mind?
Guest Hooli Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 I can have a go aye, when are you planning to arrive? I'll get there as early to give us more time to fail see what we can do.
Wack Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 One thing I don't miss about bikes is getting togged up. Don't need to as much on the trike. That's mostly what stopped me riding, 1978, belstaff jacket, helmet, gloves jump on bike parked outside my parents house, sorted , 2005 full leather suit, boots, helmet gloves, get bike out of garage, fuck it can't be arsed now
Guest Hooli Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 630 ish? I can try for that aye, not sure on traffic so might be closer to 7. ShiteRider 1
bub2006 Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 That's fine I'll be there fiddling with the wife rolling her eyes at me.
