It seems a little bit of both in all honesty Garry. The work itself is minimal in the grand scheme of things, but I also don't really like passing on cars that need stuff doing.

To be honest, my mate was fairly blunt, he said why go and spend money on something else (other more sweary phrases were used) when you have a perfectly good car here. He will do most, well all, of the mechanical stuff and he has a 4 post lift that will make it easier for me to attend to the bodywork issues without having to take shedloads of painkillers before I lie down on the garage floor.

I guess it is a bit of a no brainer. Sometimes I struggle to see what the best situation is. It is true that very little that was within my price range appealed.

It will get passed on at some point like most things.

Apologies to your mate, he does indeed sound like a top bloke. When the time comes I will drop him a line. If he still has interest then who knows.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

so a bit of both then and to be honest I for one really think you have made the right choice,
good cars can be hard to find.
Don't worry about john he has more cars than me anyway

Glad you've got your mojo back for it. Now post some new photos of it and you enjoying it!

Good news on the MOT pass. I think your doing the right thing keeping it, at least for a while longer. It's a really nice car.
