Bet that speedo needle isn't distracting at all!

What's the warning light?

I'm gonna assume it's an electronic speedo, so will suggest greasing the cable you don't have.

Shitstain, I'll scoop the '2 up tonight when our heroes return, if you are done with it?

Will hoy it back into storage in the AM, when the lovely* ladies are present.

Nimminz is urinating literally as I type this, probably due to the sheer excitement of driving this 309. I should add that we've stopped at services, he's not doing it out of the window.

The 309 has now been deposited at mission control. Many thanks to John and Matt for doing the run.

Car was faultless, but isn't perfect. Plenty of scope for improvements after a cursory once over. Non of the shortcomings dampen my enthusiasm though. It's a good little car, and pretty game.

The engine is a bit wet. Rocker cover gasket probably there's a spray of oil under the bonnet. Runs like a sexpeach though. Pulls grand. The battery is by Michael Parkinson and the cam belt history is by CSI Miami.

Enterior shootage. Minus points for crazy incorrect knob. Does anyone have a correct 205/309 knob?

That's a Vectra gearknob.

Is that acoustic reverb material under the bonnet standard on these?

I have an RX8 in red leather that's shaped like a rotor if you want it, would fit right in.

It needs a few things. It's easy to pick faults with an £150 car though.

After a blez to the pez shop, it obviously needs two new wing mirrors. The ones that are on are beyond fucked.

One cv is knocking, but only on lock and not too bad.

It needs a drivers window winder mech. The one in the door has less teeth than a 50 year old woman from the top end of Stevenston.

It needs cleaned.

I've remedied none of those things by immediately buying some Rallye Steels and a reflective rear pannel.

On the whole, I'm very happy with it.

Things I was expecting to be shit: clutch, heater rear window screen, radio. These all work great so it's far better than expected.

7/10.

. Yes, and yes please! Is it a push fit or screw/splined?

Having huge letters of the model name maketh shite points.

Mines the top one. But it's a Peugeot product rather than Hella. For less minus but minimum plus points.

Up early for work this morning so I had a quick look at the wing mirrors now the Suns up. The drivers mirror seems to be bolted, pop riveted, cable tied AND gunked on. Quite an accomplishment really. Shame it doesn't adjust.

The passenger side mirror isn't much better. But it is more camp.

When Purgrot made decent cars, WTAF has gone so wrong?

I have to disagree here. As much as I like Peugeots, imho the 309 was a dreadful car.
