£1k isn't a lot of money for another year of CLASS.

 

My plan since the summer is that a) Value of car is irrelevant, insurance is irrelevant c) fuel and tax are irrelevant.

 

but if a car you like needs £1K spending to guarantee* a year of motoring, you may as well, as that works out for me at 5p a mile, which is okay.  

 

* not withstanding that the shit hits the fan occasionally.
