scaryoldcortina Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 No, it's a renault. Do you want a piano to drop on it? That might anger someone (who likes pianos) CGSB, Cavcraft, Pete-M and 1 other 4
dugong Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 No, it's a renault. Do you want a piano to drop on it? That might anger someone (who likes pianos) Ah well. Fuck it, I tried. Needs to be one of those 'approved' AS vehicles, like a knackered Corsa or something. That'd have people foaming at the wallet. Partridge 1
Bobthebeard Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Ah well.Fuck it, I tried.You did indeed. Well tried sir!ðŸ‘

Captain Slow Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Hoy a can of Radweld and/or K seal in it and Bob's your uncle. When you're done, sell the parts to Clio V6 loons for many coin. Simples. Squeak. I'd do it myself except I don't like Lagunas and don't really want it on my drive any more. Partridge and dugong 2
garbaldy Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I used to like laguni but not anymore after the pair i had helped themselves to the contents of my wallet, sorry I can't help you out and I for one will not loose any sleep if you bail it. Dermist and dugong 2
Mr_Bo11ox Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Lagunas are defo an approved vehicle on here. Just bad timing I reckon. Lets face it there's not many places where you will find folk who actually want to buy any Laguna, let alone a V6 one with a flaky HG. Cavcraft, dugong, scaryoldcortina and 1 other 4
dugong Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Corsa = cheap and easy to fix. Laguna V6 = probably not cheap and easy to fix. So Corsas (sorry, CORSA'S) are good because they're cheap? That's.......interesting criteria. Duly noted.
dugong Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Does anyone think it's worth putting on eBay for spares and repairs? No one can do worse than a fud from one of the Facebook groups who asked me if it would drive back to Scotland. YEA M8
garbaldy Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Would it drive to Scotland ? Pop it on eeebay and bumtree and give it a try, you might be lucky oldcars and dugong 2
Cavcraft Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 It's got nothing to do with (a tiny minority of people who like) Corsas and Rover 75s and everything to do with the fact it's fairly shit car that needs major attention. There's at least two Laguna owners on here and plenty more (including me) who'd be well up for owning a useable one. I can't wait for someone to not buy my 306* so I can blame them. *This has been happening for months. The Moog 1
D Spares & Tyres Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I think you should fix it I would be genuinely interested to read about it and watch the decline in your mental health as it slowly breaks your will to live. I'm goulish like that ☺ Slartibartfast, alf892 and Cavcraft 3

D Spares & Tyres Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'm already broken like your avatar, love. There's a story behind that, but not a particularly interesting one... Involving a Renault 20 TX of all things... ☺

dugong Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 I can give you a corsa if you really want to burn something with a Vaux badgeBut Corsa's (sic) are cheap and easy to fix.
garbaldy Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 But Corsa's (sic) are cheap and easy to fix.Yes they are but they still burn.
Pete-M Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 It doesn't work. It's a FWD V6 with engine issues. It's French. You'd like £150 for it. It's got grey leather. It's gonna cost you money to get rid of it. If it was working (properly) didn't have grey leather, was 150 miles nearer and £300 cheaper I'd almost be tempted. Pete-M Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Ah well. Fuck it, I tried. Needs to be one of those 'approved' AS vehicles, like a knackered Corsa or something. That'd have people foaming at the wallet.Needs to be less French, working, cheaper, and a car people actually like enough to want to take home. These Lagunas were ok cars when they worked. About on par with a Mondeo. Thing is, they're an utter twat to work on and any parts it needs will cost more than the value of the completed car if it ever gets fixed. So you need to find someone who really likes Lagunas, has a fair few disposable quids for parts and enough time and patience to fix it. Unlikely around these parts. You could always chuck a grand at getting it going, buy one of those inflatable air-conditioned bubble tent things to store it til 2026 then try again when it is likely to be the last Laguna V6. Then it might fetch a few quid. I'll guess at £150. If it's running.
Lacquer Peel Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 The market for this car is pretty much limited to 25v6turbo's dad, hope you can sort something out with him, at least it might keep another Laguna V6 going. Pete-M and Cavcraft 2
Pete-M Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 They were nice cars back in the day. Unfortunately the market for broken V6 Renault Lagunas was small even in 99.
