JohnK Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 ECP exhaust then - 12 months its done wellProbably. It definitely looks shit. It is, however, an excuse for top down motoring to provide much improved ventilation.
raggerminder Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Well done! I was having a bit of a think about this one as I live just along the road from Yarm - makes a change from travelling hundreds of miles to look at chod the wife wont like.
Jim Bell Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 The MGOC do some very nice SS zorsts if you're feeling flush. Induction kits also make a lovely noise (right behind your ears).
purplebargeken Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Go to scrappies and see if any there with SS stuff on See extra horn, spare wheel too
vulgalour Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 That looks a lot like Mikeknight's old one.
Barry Cade Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 How is the HFHMGF. Need updates! skattrd 1
JohnK Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Cheeky morning off today - my morning meetings have been cancelled so I'm starting later/finishing later because I must have this car sorted. It's blowing a gale here today which is PERFECT for having the roof down. I've had a look already - the exhaust is blowing from the right side, close to the engine. The exhaust fumes are entering the cabin from over my right shoulder. I've had a look at the manifold and there is definitely a blow there, so after this cup of tea it will be off so I can have a closer look. Hopefully just the gasket, or a bit of weldage on the manifold will sort it.
JohnK Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Good timing - just received this - Box of service goodies for it - might as well crack on with that as well. beko1987 1
beko1987 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 ECP exhaust then - 12 months its done wellI get this on the Meriva with ECP exhausts. It's on it's 2nd in 3 years now, but £60 for a full system and <20 minutes to fit singlehandedley is a small price to pay for the cheapness!
JohnK Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Closer inspection revealed a missing bolt on the manifold to down pipe join. That'll be the issue then. Sorted. Oils draining as we speak so will get the service finished and fingers crossed she's all ready to go! purplebargeken and skattrd 2
purplebargeken Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Get a new coolant tank cap and treat it as a service item. Genyouwhine Rover one is best.
MikeKnight Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I had a nice TF and thought it was great fun. Mine was a 160 VVC edition which I thoroughly recommend. Had a racey exhaust cam and was mapped innit chav like. Went like the fucking clappers. purplebargeken 1
