Garage Visit...now with added car show

Firstly a spot in a blackberry patch for the truckers out there.

Then a visit to see my old written off white BX that has now been repaired and is ready to go. To top it off , a trip to the back yard of the new owner of the BX to see the contents of his shed. The Renault 19 cabriolet has a transmission problem ! the Ami is next on the list to finish, chassis and engine are done, just the body to do with the supply of NOS panels he has, yes correct, NEW OLD STOCK. Under cover outside a very early BX19 GTI. There was also a C5 out the front that has covered 350,000km with no problems.

Enjoy.

All the photos attached were lost during todays roadworks and have been reloaded a few short posts below

I hoped you would not see this vulgalour, that R4 would have you in tears. 1964 ? model purchased by the current owner for his mother in 1968, she died aged 103 last year and he got the immaculate 4 back again.

Onwards to Sunday and a gathering of most NZ Autoshite members was held in Rotorua to attend a car show on the green. Members present were Philibusmo, Petrolize and myself. Jon cried off, something about being away with mates camping somewhere.

Anyhowz enhugh babble, on with the show...

This would have taken the prize for the "longest trip to the show" if there was one. Philibusmo got quite teary-eyed about this.

There was a "difference of opinion" about the headlights, I thought anything was better than the original lights, especially if you had hugely uprated the engine power.

Excellent, That green well worn Triumph 2000 is my fav though.

What's the big pile of bicycles all about? Modern art or something?

No idea, but probably art at huge cost to the local council.
