Radio purchase ,whats + & - connections?

I bought this radio for my mk.1 Fiesta in the charity shop for a quid ..I want to hook it up to see if it works ,because i might need to get my money back if its borked ! ! I know the speaker  socket is bottom right .. I assume the chassis Lucar terminal is negative , what terminal is the live  , 2 or 3 ?

3 is live, 2 is illumination (so it lights up at night).

The charity shop is a bit like Lidls... everything is either   "  20p?. "  " Or if its a good item .."  Ã‚£ 1 ?"  So it was an expensive purchase !!

And for this reason they shift stuff as fast as it comes in . 

kids books ,  they're free !.

Ditto, and I worked in one for a while.

 

Looks nice but listening to MW or LW radio is proper masochism. Though somehow I managed to listen to Atlantic 252 back in the day!

If the bigger + terminal  , is connected, it only lights up when you turn it on .. if the little connector is fed juice it lights up all the time on or off .. Fact
