How does the Fiat 131 Supermirafiori rank in terms of unreliability?

131s were made up to about 2010 and possibly the most widely produced car ever (ignore the golf and the golf which are different golfs). I've had some and ridden in loads but they spelt Fiat differently like "Murat".  Though the best and most reliable were the Perkins 4.108 engine ones but they were all as reliable as the last owner.  If you'd like to purchase some then get yourself a ticket to Turkey.

Have some somnolent reading from Wikipenis

made in Eithiopia until 2010, apparently

I'm just off to start a thread about a car I plan on collecting from abroad later this decade

Holland Car https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holland_Car 'builders' of the 131s in Eithiopia seems like the shittest car maker in the world.

Running away with the money and being put on Interpol's wanted list is a high achievement rate by anybody's standards.

Yeah, VW only managed the former. The latter won't happen, because sadly the law isn't consistently applied in a fascist society.

yep 2010

My favourite city in Ethiopia (Dire Dawa) has these fine automobiles but not a 131 in sight.

Always had a soft spot for 131s. I tried to buy a 'Sport' version brand new but I could not get any bugger in the FIAT showroom to come and sell me one! I had a high powered job at the time that involved 7 in the morning untill 10 at night job for 6 days so I saved loads and never got the opportunity to spend! Wanted that FIAT so badly...

Bright orange with sporty wheels, it was fooking lovely! I ended up buying a Toyota Corolla '30' in metallic chocolate brown with cream interior. It was.... okay!

I'd love to try one with a Sofim diesel, did they sell them here? 47MPG apparently, that's not bad.

I think a shootout between two such cars would be great.  Most shoot outs or comparisons seem to be between two very similar vehicles.  XJS vs AX would be very interesting I recon.  Though most may not agree!

Your country flag avatar thingummy says you're in Eritrea.  To answer the question: I have no idea

UK market dealers never got the pleasure, no.

But Irish dealers did, from April 1980

Can't, though. We are talking the thick end of 100 bags here.

For that unreliable piece of shit? Fuck that for a game of soldiers.

If only there was someone looking to import a decent Renault 20 they could sell me. I know, I know, I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one.
