I'm near Maidstone in Kent.

The TUD is very conventional really, but has a number of 'gotchas' that can stump those that aren't used to them, such as a tiny plastic bleed valve behind the fuel filter that leaks and causes running issues! The fix there is degreasing it and covering it with rtv/ mastic :)

I must admit 190 mile each way is a long way to go but it is tempting to have it looked at!

If you can wait till the weekend I'll try & do a post with pictures and instructions on all the common failure points and how to fix them!

You'll get to the bottom of the running fault, no worries  :-D

Woefully wonderful! Bargainacious.

If you do a trek down to Maidstone, pop in and say hello. There may be a sausage and bacon butty in it for you :)

Only sausage and cheese dave remember! And only plain pork! Thanks Ken. I do feel a roadtrip at some point may do me good!

I reckon that when the glory days of the roffle die off we'll have Autoshite Sweepstakes about what Bub'll buy when he eventually writes off his current car, and when he'll write off the next one. That Saxo looks so thunderously shit I don't reckon I'd be gutted if I wrote it off and I daresay it won't go fast enough to get on top of a dry stone wall so should be a safe bet :)

If a Volvo appears on fleet Daz a visit from the SSPCV (Scotoshite Society for the Prevention of Crashed Volvos) may be in order.

I do fancy a early 440 if I'm honest. With the cvt for ultra shite points. The saxo looks thunderously shit so I really doubt anything will happen to it!regards wall mounting I was only doing 40/45 and in baleno I was doing sub 25. Regards saxo I'm actually warming to it. The economy is immense,104 mile on 2 gallon so cant complain.

Paid 190 for it with 3 previous owners, mot till may. Not sure when belt was done but with my run of luck I don't know what to do either! Yes,pump is bosch and aldi have veg oil in at 89p a litre.........

Stay away from veg untill you've got it running right

Tbh I reckon it's gone too cold to run it out of a std fuel tank...

I have tried a litre if I'm honest. Makes no difference whatsoever to the erratic idle but it does smell better!
