Unless say its a well known car in an owners club and the owner has already plugged it on one of the Ford forums. Clutching at straws?Incidentally three years ago when I Ebayed my 84 Escort L auto, 45k miles with 4 months T+T, I spent ages on cleaning it up, taking decent photos, comprehensive description, even got a few friends to indulge in a bit of mild sub-£100 shill bidding to get things started  and the fugger still only made £185, shoulda sold it to the Doctor but instead it went (cash on collection next day thankfully) to some gimp from Loughboro for his partner to use, neither of them had bothered to take their manual test ever. :lol:Wish I'd hung onto that car and not traded up to a Mundaneo that I can't seem to get rid of. :(

Could be genuine but I wouldn't be bidding on any car auction without a photo that wasn't close enough to view in person.

Yep I would never bid on a car without seeing it first. If it's too far and not ultra rare I just let them go(unless it was so cheap it was a no-lose situation).I have also in the past and if the car is that good managed to stop the auction and get it for a decent price.:wink:
