Autoguard Tyres - Any good?

The Meriva needs 2 new tyres this week (took the piss on them last month sort of thing), and I've found Autoguard SA602, anyone got anything good/bad to say about Autoguard tyres?

Had them on my MX5 when it came from the dealers. They were fine to be honest. I picked it up in the rain and was trying to have fun on the roundabouts and the buggers kept gripping and spoiling the fun.

I'm sure others will chime in and tell you how shit they are but they were fine on my Mazda - noisy though.

Sterling recommendation, being fitted Saturday morning, £25 cheaper than the cheapest local place will do per tyre...

If it's good enough for an MX5 itll be good enough for a Meriva

Funny enough I've just been searching for tyres and have come up with Achilles longdong wanelie dingalings and have no idea which is which,

They are 18inch and I burst into tears at the prices.

Check tyreleader.co.uk - I just got a pair of Dunlop Sports delivered for £36 a tyre. Thats less than half the price of what any local place would do them for. They were 195/65/15s. I could have spent a lot less too, but decided that good tyres for that little was such a good deal that I'd get decent ones.

These are 185/60/15, and dont seem to be as cheap as they could. I did look at Tyreleader, but the local tyre places round here wont fit supplied tyres, so that was that one out, and I could get £32 tyres, but add £10 on per tyre for fitting, plus the fact I would have to drive it to work as thats where my friendly tyre place is, and it seemed easier to book it in for Saturday morning and let Amy drive it there.

For normal knocking about they are probably ok. They won't last as long as premium brands or grip as well but then again they probably cost half the price.

Yes, I've come across some miserable feckers like that. The position is semi-understandable.

Some time ago a place I went into when asked about fitting tyres started pissing and moaning about "internet" tyres. So I said to the fecker, "If you can get the tyres, you can fit them...but you won't get them..145/80...14" He then got on the phone and afterwards was back-pedalling and would make an exception in the instance.

Cnut. I telt him he was wasting his time phoning.

On the other hand, I used to know through my old landlord who worked in a bodyshop that the local ShiteFit guy was good for extras after hours in the mobile van ;) Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Fair play to Tyreshopper though...

I want to phone the national tyres that have our booking and ask if they want us at a certain time so we dont have to wait around for ages. Could not find the email anywhere. Spoek to claire on their online chat, who found my order from my postcode and she's resending the email

At 8.55 at night!

Used tyreshopepr before actually thinking about it, thats where the current tyres came from 3ish years ago. They got fitted at a national tyres too
