Yes. Building was gutted - huge steel gantry/buttresses were bolted to the window frames to keep the walls up & total refabbed, floors the lot!

What do they call these marching band / marionette type parades?   The banners look like those you used to see for colliery bands / miner's strikes riots but with little girls instead of hard men in donkey jackets.

 

A quick google reveals this excellent picture of Muhammed Ali clearly wondering what the fuck is going on.
