For those who like Citroens I will be at the Citroen Car Club, Chevrons Rally, Little Horwood near Milton Keynes, 12/13 Sep with the CX and as many of my Citroens as I can muster. I will be pleased to meet up with anybody who goes.

Getting close now only a few days to go, do come and say hallo if you like Citroen's.

If you spot a big bald fat yob arriving in a modern Merc or Land Rover, tell the eccentric, academic types not to worry,it'll be me and I'm not there to rob them.

I popped in here when it was predominantly DS' to have a look 2 years ago and I'm sure some of the feistier retired professors were forming a posse to chase me off, the least friendly car show I've ever been too, maybe it was the black Chrysler with gangster windows that spooked them.

The DS Rally was run by a different lot of people and still takes place in June. This is all Citroens welcome Rally and an extra £2 to make it £7 for non Citroens to encourage you to bring your Citroen if you have one. I will warn them on the gate!

Lots of nice cars and good weather, although as my back was playing up I didn't feel able to offer to drive any of six cylinder's fleet.

The 2CV Dolly red and white is my one!

There was also a grey 2CV on Saturday.

Did you find me, have I spoken to you without knowing? What were you driving?

Did you visit, I did warn them on the gate but the gate persons keep changing?

I got there in the end, I am not stupid just slow, I have worked it out 3 hours after the Rally ended!

This 2 CV was yours yes?

It is OK I sold my spare Visa 17RD today so I do not have one to force upon you!

Oh and there was one more visiting Visa today that was not present yesterday.

I worked out the dolly was yours with the help of the attendance list you put up on the visa. Well done for above and beyond the call for the effort you put in. I did look around your cars- definitely a fleet! But I don't think we talked . Better luck next time!

Was the grey 2cv a charleston missing its graphics or a painted special?

I was in the blue 2cv, that Robert made me park in front of the gazebo- he wanted blue white and red, then ed parked his dsm first so we had red white and blue. Not good enough! So we had to rearrange and then park "artistically".

Yep, 'twas me! Back now in spasm after three hours 2cving- think I should have driven the auto merc and paid extra on the gate! It's not that the seats are uncomfortable, but that it has no power steering or brakes and needs a clutch foot. Grrr.

I was there today with my XM, not sure if I met any of you!

Which xm? Some nice ones there. Well they were all nice really. I was tempted (Again) with the 2 ct turbo for sale, but it didn't have a price ( probably meant I couldn't afford it). The White cx turboII for sale looked very nice, but I'm not sure of the price (£5800) even with low mileage, given that the sunroof needed repair.

I didn't manage to talk to Shaun- what had happened to his bonnet on the sm? Catch broken?

I don't know it was Mrs Cyl that set up this shot with him and took the photo, while I berated the Nissan owner who has delusions of already owning a CX!

I don't suppose there are that many bluebirds around any more either. But, the be and cx have a lot more "design" going on I think. The similarities of cx and sm are obvious though. Good photo!

This looks a lot more friendly than the DS thing, unfortunately I was to busy to pop in.

I never think of myself as a Citroenist but over the years I've had Dyanes,BXs even a GSA and done a lot of miles in company XMs and Xantias.

I came close to buying a C6 a fortnight ago but bottled it after a test drive and an evening looking at the club forum. I could be tempted by a CX but for some reason I prefer big Citroens as basic 2.0's with no frills, probably from watching too many old TV shows and movies with white Parrisien taxis.

Not sure, I never spoke to the owner but it had the wide speedo?
