reckon any of you attending the GLF meet could beat that?

I have never been on a drag strip, but I'm hoping the boring can beat the Skoda.

The boring may have a generic remap and a lighter than standard flywheel, oh and it started out as a 110 compared to the Skoda being a 90.

 

Do we need to bring helmets?

Latest update on this:

 

we may need to pay up front for this- possibly just entrance/ camping, or it may be full whack (inc rwyb)

 

I am awaiting clarification.

 

On the helmet front (steady!) they have helmets available to hire for a small deposit, so you need not bring your own.

 

I think I'll close entry to this on Friday 14th so we have a month for planning/payment.

 

Anyone who wants to come get the list up dated please!

Only ask as the xant has a fetish for parts that I am struggling to keep up with atm ... Hopefully all will be well as I am looking forward to this one

 

Must fit new timing belt and water pump before I attend as I don't want it to snap being overdue and all :s

on Sat the Run What You Brung is £30 and they are able to set us up an autoshite class so we can race against each other. number of runs depends on how many atendees are at the even overall.

 

fastest time of the day gets a trophy.

 

so initial thought for me is turn up fri, camp then run sat and up the road.

just to clarify, it is not York Raceway running this event- its this "Maddness" lot.

 

 

As far as I can ascertain, you need to buy the ticket and RWYB off that lot, and pay for camping at the Track- but I'll double check that in the week:)
