SRS question: Have you tried Merc themselves? They used to keep them in (not that long ago) I think they were £95 a pop.

I have used them for a few bits but not the wings, could be worth a try, i just want to avoid pattern parts

Pattern wings are MUCH better than they used to be. I've used pattern E46 wings from the likes of Doncaster Crash Repair Parts and they fit like a glove and are about 28 quid each.

At £200 each, BMW can FRO when the originals rioted like a bean can in a salt mine. Try Hadrian Panels.

Ideally i would like to keep costs down, the whole car only cost £450, but i flew through its MOT and I think it deservs some love, and I promised the Lovely old lady I bought it from i would take good care of it for her,

What engine/box is it? I have a recon prop from a 1.8 auto, but no 190 to fit it to. Not sure what models it'd fit.

I put some on my 190E and every time I saw them I thought how much of a MASSIVE twat I was for doing so. Even when it was parked in the garage, I'd lie there at night, haunted by the image of these things. Even trying to dream of more pleasant things, such as having my arms removed in an industrial cornflake flattening machine, or waking up next to Vanessa Felt, didn't work. These bastard things become so permanently inscribed in your mind, that you cannot shut them out. Ever.

It's a 1.8 but it's a Manual

It's currently wearing a set of those delightful chrome arches, I need them gone, especially when combined with the 3 spoke alloys, which are also soon to be changed,

If anyone fancies a set of 16" 3 spokes get in touch

Next time I see the year 1994 I'll get it to give you a bell....

I firmly believe that with the exception of mobile phones and Internet connections everything was better in the 90's, but even I have to admit the 3 spokes should have been left there,

Nice to see another 190 getting some crud-reversion therapy. MB Placcy trims FTW.

Can we have some pics of your 190E please? Ta.

I have a few on my phone, I will go for chronological order, from collection up to date! Little has changed, as all work so far has been in or under the car, but here goes,

Dear God, PLEASE take those 3 spokes and chrome arches off. AMG (real or replica) FTW, but spray them black.

I am in the process of Refurbing the AMGs, altough i am going for dark silver grey rather than black.

As soon as i get the wings the chrome arches will be gone, the front arches are toast, the rears not too bad, but once the wings are on i will be painting all 4 arches.

Next big job is to fit the salvage Diff i have just bought, as the one fitted is as noisy as a noisy thing.

I have also fitted a period correct Alpine stereo, mainly to mask the sound of the Diff eating its self,
