It's roomy, but not that roomy.

May appeal to 90% of population. Would need to sit on each others knees.

Similar to LDV minibus, Macplacton Voyager, Number 31 to Montagu Estate.

I joined the Sukki Forum when I had my 3potta Slow.

A. A college in US liked the 3pot for auto engine design principle teaching - demonstrating its good design by running it at up to 9k, often... No Handgrenade!!

B. Cheappo power boost [3potta] is a stepped/offset cam pulley woodruff key.

Leviticus 1678 wcpgw:

And lo though temptation may becon ye with promises of economy and interior space, be ye unaffraid. Step forward into the unknown and pass the palm of a stranger with silvers, for the brave man is surely blessed, and blessings be found where ye look.

This looks a right laugh. Friend of mine had an S reg Alto for ages, used it to drive from home here in Teesside down to work in Welsh Wales and back every week. They must have all the refinement of a Jaguar for that kind of mileage.

Posted

They are not really built for motorway mile munching but she sits in 5th at 65-70 happy enough. Less noise and more pleasant at 60. I can't describe the experience as refined though.

It's a grippy little thing and I'd rather take twice as long and drive to Welsh Wales via B roads to be honest.

Great commuter. Fits in all the spaces.

May appeal to school run yummy mummies, cheaper than a bus pass, OAPs, First time drivers and communists.

Posted

Converts easily into a flat load floored Luton van.

Fifteen thousand square foot load space, while retaining seating for two morbidly obese passengers in the foremost cabin space.

May appeal to Shiply delivery drivers, dreymen, Eddie Stobbart and The Snowman from Smokey and The Bandit.

You think YOU have a compact car?!  I could fit two Altos between these two Giants.

May appeal to The Borrowers, Hobbits's, Ewoks, Jawas, Badasses and the morbidly obese.

Alto.  Because there is nothing which cannot be done.

Would but I'm after a car with less fuel and more degrees Celsius.

Posted

If you don't mind waiting, the fuel level will be below the temp gauge.  In about 19 months. If I drive it 1000 miles a day.

I'm out unfortunately, I wanted it for Mrs foad to build up her no claims on but the tata is the same amount to insure.

I have to say I'm very tempted by this.  With a baby Skut on the way and the Y10 threatening to snap in two, something thats reliable and has seatbelts attached to metal appeals.

Its taxed and insured so can be driven off into the sunset.  If you're quick, theres currently a full tank of petrol.  Which would probably see you as far as The Arctic Circle or Northern Africa.

I think the record stands at 19.

Comfortably, I would say two.

On my way to pick this up. Quite excited to see the little fucknugget in the metal!

Unsure if "fucknugget" is a term of endearment for the car or the seller.

Approved by Skut.

A nicer man you could not wish to meet.

Its off to live in Volvoland, in the North beyond the Wall.

The obligatory petrol station stop and photo went a little awry when it became clear there was no fuel at the inn.

Little fucknugget has not put a foot wrong. Been an excellent little car so far. Many thanks to Barry for making it such an easy process and giving me a ride in his Gti.

ACCESS!

A garage near me still proudly claims they accept Access in their newspaper ads. I bet you get charged 2% for doing so though.
