edit - sorry about the brief description \/ - its a 1.9D skoda felicia cube van

...I got sent some of these pics of this  a year ago - did I want to save it from being weighed in (it belongs to a mate of mine's brother , same mate knows this is a sales pitch that always works with me) - they want shot of it either way... Ive sold my caddy last week n am sans a recentish commercial to put on that policy, so it might do the job...

...My mates brother hasn't done anything at all with it in the 4 years hes owned it, n in that time its been broken into/attempted theft n vanadlised on another occasion - hes not even sure if it starts or runs... ive said id 'have it' for either scrap value or a welding job or two but he said its 'got a bit worse since last yr...

...Im going down to look at it tomorrow, but have already borrowed the necessary A frame to have it away (once I can get another mate to 'offer' to do the towing after dropping the necessary hints as I have no car with a tow hitch - or a car that actually runs, at the moment)...

My understanding of these from google bashing is they run a lucas pump, so no veggie running?? I have to say Ive never seen a vw derived engine with a lucas pump; is that internet 'lore or real life??

Lacquer Peel is your man, here. I think these aren't veg friendly because they're a PDi engine which doesn't like the good stuff.

Aye, Lucas pump in these, and similar Polo and Ibiza related chariots with the 1.9D engine.

MISERABLE.

It comes with free mould - ideal for making your own penicillin - so go for it.

I didnt get round to 'looking at' this today - due to oil leak in the borrowed 1.4 mk4 golf im using (oil breather box catchment plastic thing'a'ma'jifg) - no Halfords local to me so couldn't buy a new tube of instant gasket - the 3/4 used tube I have 'in stock' has dried solid... Im not one for ummin n awing - if I was down there with a more powerful hitch equipped towing donkey, id a frame it home...

Confirmation above of the lucas pump in these hasn't endeared me any more to the car - Im 'tee'd up' to buy an 80s era engineless vw t25 panel van, at the moment, - tis cheap with little rust (!!) so I thought if this is a total loss body wise I could always use its stove, leaned over in the T25...

Its unlikely to be a wash n go, test n tax commercial as it clearly needs welding, but its cheap... I sacked off a very useable berlingo of 1.9D n 03 vintage needing just a gearshifter bush for test for €700 as it did nothing for me... i'll have to get something driveable sorted soon, as im stuck cadging other folks cars otherwise.... decisions decisions...

This engine in the T25 sounds quite nice, one of the worst things about wedges is the asthmatic range of motors.

64bhp and 98 ftlb torque.

Faster walkimg.

Engine of choice is a 1.9td aaz-up the max fuel and alter the boost pressure. 90bhp vegmonster thst can be fixed with hammers
