  1. 1. If I had 400 quid to hand, what would I best do with it?

    • Buy a track day MG saloon

    • Buy a good set of red seats for the Amazon

    • Buy better tyres and tidy the Beetle up a bit

    • Stop faffing and sort out the TR Toledo

    • Buy an MPV for the hell of it

Seems like the 'stop faffing' option is winning.

Amazon seats less than you though.   Toledo set up for track, stuff the MOT.   Spare dosh = car trailer.  Go track-daying in absolute style.

The bench is a rear bench Ken. There was a front bench option in the early 'Sixties for the Saxomat Amazon but not many were sold.

I'll ask about.

Why are you asking us?  Since when have we ever been right?  Just get out there and do what you want!  We won't judge*.

I haven't read any of the option properly, but have voted you should get a track day motor, because buying another car is never wrong.

All good points. A trailer would be handy. The Amazon has a towbar and electrics. Poor seats though.

Trailer + oil cooler and shocks for the Toledo = fucked budget.

V40, hmmmm. Estate?

Nnnnnnnnnnng!

We have a winnah! Stop Faffing with a massive* 27 votes. So which one of you voted 27 times?

This means that I must immediately go out and buy an MG ZS. I mean fix the Toledo.

Thanks for the clarity folks. AS is what it always has been.

For £400 pounds you too could invest in a shiter for a year, given them the financial support to fix one or more of their crumbling lost causes.  As a charity, we at Vulgalour International make it our business to ensure only the most deserving and fiscally sensible of shiters benefit from your investment.  The returns are priceless.

No investment return guaranteed.  May not be an actual charity.  Could be a very thinly veiled Nigerian scam. WGPGW?

Vulgalour International definitely needs TV adverts with pictures of forlorn 70s cars, their ripped velour trim hanging from collapsed seats and rust stains down the front wing from the headlamp. And probably a manky donkey in the background, that always seems to help.

Captain_70s is the poster boy for the Manky Donkey campaign.  We should probably tell him that at some point.
