oldcars
This is maybe not the kind of car that is of interest on this forum but i hope someone can help. Its my caravan towcar and its developed a oil leak, or i think a leak from the diff i think. Here is a pic, it seems to be coming from a joint, just behind the two lower bolts but it does seem to have sprayed about a bit and made a right mess of the drive, Anyone know much about these? Im hoping the gasket can be replaced and not the whole unit and that would cost £££.
dave21478
Check its not leaking from higher up and dripping down - Friends had one where the turbo was leaking externally which dripped down over the back of the block and gearbox and got sucked into the bellhousing through an inspection hatch, which killed the clutch. oldcars
mat_the_cat
A gasket can always be made up with a bit of gasket paper, if not easily/cheaply available. So long as the thickness of the joint isn't critical e.g. bearing clearances. oldcars

Lacquer Peel
I've been in a Santa Fe that was metallic brown on the outside and solid brown on the inside. Shite in my eyes. oldcars
