Cheers Triggs, glad my old heap gave folks a laugh, it's not a bad thing when you look at what I paid for it.I left early as I couldn't be bothered queueing up for food, plus wasn't that hungry tbh, had a steady drive back via the back roads, as that A12 pointless speed restriction really did my nut in, 40 mph for miles, for no reason whatsoever, and at that speed, that exhaust really does my nut in

Why, what were you in?

I was in my white beast of crustyness, with it's side exit tailpipe!

How does one find out about future events? I am often in this neck of the woods of a weekend.

If you are on Faceache, join East Coast Retros, I think the next meet is on the first Sunday in March down at Shotley Marina

This little Fiesta has only covered 55k and again was very tidy, the current owner is thinking of fitting a Zetec Turbo to it but keeping the outside and interior stock.

Harris Zetec powered 4 door Escort, apparently this was the first Zetec that Harris built and it has 200 bhp, it was still spinning through the gears in 3rd as it left.

I think you were quite surprised when I told you how much my car cost. A great turn out with a rich variety too, and an aww factor with 'lil Pud', who is already in training on how to photobomb :)

I had nowt show worthy and was ill yesterday. Looked a good turn out.

Send me your gathering times Trig for 2015 and I'll whack 'em in the diary.

The next one is Sunday 1st March at the Shipwreck in Shotley, 1pm onwards and the next then will be Sunday 29th March at the Ipswich Transport Museum from 10am, we are having a proper show there with hopefully the vintage buses running to giving rides around the town.

Great stuff. I'll try to get to one of these meets at least this year. I'm in north Essex about once a month or so visiting in-laws so I'll have to be canny about matching up the dates.

Nice vid there Triggs :)

Looks like some good stuff. Well done on someone saving the cortina, shame that yet another fiesta is going to lose its engine :-(
