Lacquer Peel Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Why are they so failure prone, is it too much strain on the engine which is largely unburstable in cars? Here's another oddity with an XUD.
garbaldy Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Why are they so failure prone, is it too much strain on the engine which is largely unburstable in cars? It might be down to the way the hydraulics work, no revs means no oil flow so they tend to be ran at 3000rpm for hours on end with a constant load, In a car the engine is up and down the rev range and under load working, not sure if that's the reason but there's got to be something in it. The same engine is in some older road sweepers as the wood yard blew two up as well. Lacquer Peel 1
