If it's not hurting it's not working.

No pain, no gain.

I prefer to live by the mantra "no pain, no pain"

Can we have the answers please?

Fucking cheese and bread! I completely forgot about this quiz.

SOZ EVERYONE.

In my defence, I am a useless sack of shit.

All the answers have now been checked and results are very much forthcoming.

In the spirit of me being ashamed of being such a fudge-up, everyone who took part will receive a prize. The first prize of the silver medal thingies still stands but now everyone (who wants one) will get their very own one-of-a-kind slightly drunk wrong-handed drawing commission of their car or any car they choose. I'm drinking strong booze as I type this, in preparation.

There is also one more secret shit special prize that will be awarded,

Soz again quizzerzzz.

Anyway, my question is simply this. What nationality is he? (2 points)

Sebastien is French.

Also, it transpires that this is not just a spot he sent me but is in fact his new car (and new girlfriend). Hero.

QUESTION 18 - This is a repeat of a question featured previously on Quiz 1.0. It's the Toy Cannon Distance Projectile Prediction Challenge. SNAPPY.

The difference this time is that instead of firing a toothpick, the cannon will be firing a flaming match. JEOPARDY.

The outcome will be videoed for the results show.

Here is the projectile that will be used.

001%209.jpg

Here it is next to a box of matches for scale.

Here is the weapon in question, on some scales for scale.

The weather at outside launch time is predicted to be 19C, overcast, humidity 51%, visibilty very good, pressure 1017 Millibars, wind direction WSW 9mph.

The cannon exerts some amount of force, we measured it last time but someone forgot to go back and check the figures. What I can say is that during it's only test fire, the match went what looked like a good 3 or 4 worth of me and I'm 6'5".

So how far will it go? (6 points within 6 inches, 5 points within 10 inches, 4 within 14, etc.)

Also, for a bonus will the match still be burning immediately after landing? Yes or No? (2 points)

Here is the video of the launch which was attended by our independent adjudicator.

This has made my monday morning! Also trying to explain to someone (who looks over your shoulder) why you are viewing a youtube video containing a lit match is certainly a challenge when on the first coffee of the day

Sorry for the delay. I was just coming round to that but I've had very important matters to attend to, 181 piece origami swans won't make themselves.
