Bren Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Today I have conceived this - this will revolutionise DIY oil changes. Behold - Made from the highest quality plastic and precision cut using eclipse hacksaw blades, this revolutionary item has an extra wide spout and clips into the hole on your valve cover, unlike most other funnels on the market which extend beyond the centreline of the crankshaft and have to be held by hand. Note how the item clips into your oil container allowing quick disposal of your old oil. Compare this revolutionary item with the poor quality item - no comparison. This great gift can be yours for £4.99 + p+p. When ordering please specify your size of orifice quoting "r whites" or "fanta". Coming soon - revolution in storage of left over oil - More details coming soon. pshome Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Recently tried the french version of this. As with other things they imitate, not as functionally perfect as the original, but it did the job, at least on a Simca. The "pain savoureux" was awful though... AndyW201, Junkman and Bren 3
RoadworkUK Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 My funnel is made out of a GENUINE American Mountain Dew bottle, I've had it for twelve years. Fucknose where it is.

Did you explain to the French that if they printed "ham and cheese" on the packaging as it would use less ink that "jambon and emmental" ?

HillmanImp Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 That's all well and good but each time I go to change my oil I use up all the 2l bottles I have lying around as the oil drainer is obviously full from last time I did an oil change and I need somewhere to put it all before I start this one.

overrun Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 These are also my chosen funnel method. BEWARE, though... I pumped the master cylinder dry on my cousins New Beetle, by using one to refill the brake fluid, after replacing a caliper.I stuck the funnel in the resevoir, poured some brake fluid in and proceeded to pressure bleed the system. Long story short, I had left the cap screwed onto the pop bottle funnel, so pumped the M/C dry and never noticed, as the level remained the same.
pshome Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Austrian coffee cups are not fuel safe, tested on the glockner road when changing PRV fuel pump roadside.Doubling them up does nothing but delay the event by a second... skattrd 1
