warninglight Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 No, not Jaaaaaaags, and not furry bastard felines... I did this to the cat on the Disco a few weeks back, as it was rattling and restricting airflow something shocking. Now obviously, a fairly hefty cat like that is worth some money, mate of mine bagged £75 this very day from a Rover 75 diesel one. Popped around with some old batteries etc. to a scrappers near work today, to be told that they can't accept the elements if they're not in the pipe still. I have the original cat pipe still on the disco, nicely welded up for the MOT man, so that's a bit of a pain. Anyone know of anywhere that'll take it as is?
Alan_Green Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Sorry, you're not allowed to recycle your cat nowadays: UmBongo, AlabamaShrimp and oldcars 3
DSdriver Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I believe they can be used for lagging pipes. Oh, not felines you said. Soz.
panhard65 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 The guy who collects my cats will take the internals if they are bagged up. A disco one won't make £75 though. I think I got £35 last time I took one off. It was cheaper to buy a new front pipe than mess about welding it as you can buy a non cat front pipe then sell the old one and break even.
martc Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Sell it to your local "foreign food" take-away. A 70's joke for a 70's forum.
sheffcortinacentre Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 all the places I know won't give you anything for that.& you won't get 75 for a disco one at present.
