Help needed in regards to the vp auto. Central locking only works on front doors. Should it work on the boot? I know the rear does should lock unlock but unsure about the boot. Also is there a special way of removing dizzy cap without removing grill and bonnet slam panel as per hbol? Last question is how easy is it to run a fresh fuel feed to carb? Is it just a case of disconnecting fuel pipe from carb and hookung up a gravity fed system with obviously fuel pump fuse removed? Thanks

Try the Metro Owners Club forum, they are pretty helpful.

For fuel - gravity feed straight into the HIF carb.  The pump is mechanical, mounted low down at the back of the A series; you can block the pipe from it temporarily and run off you jerry can feed no problems.

It is possible to remove the dizzy cap without taking the grille and slam panel off.

Possible, but fiddly.

Yes, there is a solenoid behind the trim panel in the boot lid. Try WD40, check power is getting to it as sometimes the wires break, Maplin sell generic ones that fit for less than a fiver

Grow girly hands and double jointed wrists.
