I clicked on the thread because of the Rammstein-inspired username too, and am impressed with your chod - I owned the ex-Dollywobbler Saab 900 Autoshite bike for just over a year before selling it on to Hillman Imp - I loved it, but needed something shorter and more economical as I was ont' dole at the time.  Welcome along!

Hello and welcome from another 'newbie'. They seem to be an interesting and friendly lot (well, so far they have put up with my ramblings about dogs and other non car related bilge).

I had a 900. A red auto on twin carbs and it was the thirstiest bloody thing on the  planet! Nice to drive though and I love the quirkyness of the old Saabs. Bought my sister in law a old 95 with the column shift and she adored that car for years and years. She used to travel down to Devon from London every year for me to get it through the MOT...

I also had a 9000 with dodgy steering that used to assist at the oddest times and then refuse when you'd like it to! I loved driving it though even though it was a shed of the finest order. I seriously thought about getting a newish one as I think they look great, but I'm not a GM fan....

Thanks! My 9-5 isn't frugal by any means, but to be honest after 4 years in a 1.4 Opel Astra its worth it, and after 18 months of readying the 900 for the road, I think it'll be worth it also!
