Tell you what, if someone gave me '50CL' of beer and told me it was a full pint, I'd be most displeased.

I'd imagine you be less pleased paying 4 Euros for it as well

Petrol is cheaper than Diesel as we refine more petrol over here than we use, so it gets exported, diesel is the other way round.

And yet Diseasle takes less refining than petrol, so you would think it would be cheaper.

Thanks Gord :!:

Diesel is in great demand from the industries, which drives up the price and demand a bit I imagine, whereas petrol is mainly just used to propel cars.

Just back from a week in Texas, and saw prices as low as $1.65 per gallon (US).Great, as my mate who I was staying with has a V8 Ford Explorer which struggles to do 20mpg!!

Hmmmm.....Anyone know if the CDTi engine used by Vauxhall will take "bio" diesel without self destructing?

All diesel engines will run on properly made biodiesel. There's a fella on one of the alternative fuel forums running a brand new BMW 330d on home-made biodiesel.

I am happy to report that PEZ prices round here are now coming down to more sensible levels. 87.9p for UL last night when I put some in my 325i (which is an experience that I usually dread, esp as I am now using it as a 'daily driver'...)
