Any idea of how many ££££'s?

Dugong I would like to hear more about your MG6 experience.

How come you were driving it for work?

Also, lol that it came up as a Maestro on their system! A Maestro would've been preferable I asume.

Seen this?

Just sayin', like...

Yeah, Looks nice. I really want a Mk1 diesel, although I reckon I'd plump for a Mk1 petrol or a mk2 diesel. A mk2 petrol is a compromise too far. Unless it's white. I really want a white one.

Would you drive one without getting paid for it?

I'd say they can't pay me enough.

A two door 360 GLS! How much and did you take any seller details?!?!

I'm so frustrated I missed that. I have nowhere to put a 360 GLS but that really is the summit of Volvo 300 ownership and where to put it would be worried about later.

I'd love to have that GLS!

It's work's new pool car. If we're asked to cover a large event, we drive its cars and fuel them on a card or on expenses. The MG6 replaced a diesel Qashquai that spent its time pinballing between Kent and Cambs with depressing regularity.

When the car ran, it drove nicely - although I'd be very wary of using it again until the fault was fixed. I suspect it's a gearbox sensor.

Bit late I know, but there was a Seville in '57 too, I had a Solido one which co-incidentally I sold at Beaulieu when I used to share a stall.   Back when you could do it on a whim....

That BX was £2500 but it looked like it hadn't been used in a while. A nice thing for a collector perhaps, but an outrageous sum if you actually wanted to use the thing. I've heard the 1.4 mk2 petrols are very nice...

Crumbs!

Wonder what the real world mpg is for a 1.4...

Barrett; I slid by G116 at 16:00 hrs and the man on the stall had no knowledge of Autoshite nor Barrett and presumably wasn't you.

Was there another G116?

40+ no bother. Only problem is they're rather short-geared, so buzzy on motorways.

Fact. I have never been to Beyooley. Nor the National Motor Museum. I think I did drive past in 2008, on a 3500-mile trip around the UK. There wasn't time to stop.

First time for me, too. In my naivety I hadn't expected them to throw the doors to the museum open as well, but they did, which was a bonus. It's very good indeed.

I'm not keen on museums generally; cars seem somewhat lifeless when gathering dust being gawped at. But I quite like this one.

Surely the earlier suitcase 1.4s are better, with no cambelt? And metal suspension bearings, instead of the rubber jellies. Even the dash was half-way to not being a boring Peugoet!
