The boatcar is just WOW.

The artists rendition of a heliplaneboatcar behind it is EVEN WOWIER.

Why are we all not cruising about in one of them, it solves every travel issue never thought of.

Wow, that museum is now firmly on my 'must visit' list. It looks amazing. Loving the Lloyd wagon and that odd tatty teardrop shaped thing.

Ooh, I'll take the Studebaker, please. Or the Airflow. Or both. Is that an old magpie's nest on the green van-trike's handlebars?

I had a great behind the scenes tour here a while back, doing all the stuff you want to do in a museum usually but like jumping over the ropes, sitting in the cars etc Also spent ages pushing the V12 Lagonda around for a photo shoot. Easily the best museum I've been to, the quality of exhibits and the way they are presented is streets ahead of any other car collection I've seen and just hammers home how unbelievably shite the NMM really is. The only bad thing is that they have too much good stuff. By the time you get to the last couple of halls you are totally overloaded, which is annoying as the best thing there ( the most incredible oily rag Voisin C7) comes right a near the end and I could barely take it in.

Thy do a cracking lunch there too (take note, every museum in the UK). Anyone with an interest in old cars need a to visit, and as a bonus there is loads of old tat motoring about in Den Haag too

Autoshite continental touring company at your service! Why not? A few of us in a choice selection of prime examples of automotive technology launch ourselves respectfully at their car park one weekend and leave only the faint traces of oil and fluids on the floor. I'd be up for that.

Have to agree, despite a lifetime of association with Beaulieu, that it is pretty crap these days.   The Europeans seem to do the museum thing so much better, but then again I preferred Stondon to Beaulieu.   NMM wants to decide if its a car museum or a kiddie trap (by the k word I include those who marvel at the outpouring of tripe from TG types).   Anyway sod all that, there is some mighty prod-worthy stuff there and displayed so that you can just take in the cars, rather than pointless "time-line" mum-pleasing background nonsense.   The stuff on "shelves" is just like the 1:1 scale display cabinet I promised myself when I started buying lottery tickets....Awsum!
