It's bugging me what that bike is, looks like a Honda revere engine but they're famously shaft driven but the singed remains has a chain, its a carbureted bike so its pre 2006

On 14 October 1979 the handless body of narcotics dealer Marty Johnstone ("Mr Asia") was discovered in the quarry by local divers. 

 

Around the year 2000 it was pumped dry, and over 250 cars and much rubbish were removed from it,

I suspect one of my Fiestas ended up in the Delph. Off up there a week Saturday for a geocaching event. Its all clean & tidy though now.

 

 

I find it very odd how the cars have deteriorated under water, all the glass is gone, the wheels seem to suffer and the lights. Im assuming not every one was torched before being pushed in.

I think it would be good fun to try to identify some of those cars. In the above picture, I reckon the car on the extreme left is a MK4/5 Cortina, the one in the foreground is a Subaru Justy, a Hillman Avenger to the right of that and a MK3/4 Escort above the Avenger.

With my anorak on I'll say the car in the foreground is a Suzuki Swift as I can't see a propshaft.  Is that a Chevette estate on the bottom right?

I reckon that's an upside down R107 SLC Mercedes there too....
