Volvo S60 for sail

I don't really want to sell this, but I have a number of large bills looming and I've got to raise some money somehow or other. 

 

It's a Y reg S60 2.3 T5, and it goes like a bat out of hell.  The performance is made all the more amusing by the fact that, wheels aside, it looks pretty much like something your grandad would drive.

 

It's done a fair few miles, as most Volvos seem to do - it's on about 174K at the moment - but it wears the mileage well, and drives fine.  The only thing I've noticed is a bit of noise from what sounds like the nearside front anti-roll bar drop link over bumpy surfaces.  It's got quite a bit of history with it too - the service book was last stamped at 168K and there are also various bills and old MOT certificates.

 

It's got full black leather, climate control, cruise control, CD player, trip computer etc. etc.   The only thing it doesn't have is electric seats, but I think those are overrated anyway.  All of it seems to work OK, and the stereo is one of the best I've encountered in any car I've owned.  I don't have the remote for the central locking, but it locks and unlocks fine the old fashioned way.

 

It's MoT'd until October and taxed to the end of July, and I'd like £750 for it.  Here's some pictures (excuse the crappy MS Paint number plate blanking) :

I very nearly paid £10,500 for one identical to this, a few years back.

Great cars, and yours is well worth 'sock drawer money'.

I can attest that these cars are, to use a technical term, proper twatting quick like. Shame you don't hear much in the way of an exhaust note from the 5 cylinder

Compared to the Focus ST I find mine is disappointingly muted. Bet it would sound epic with an aftermarket exhaust though

Alarmingly this is less than 240 to insure for me..is it part of the daft taxband bollocks?

Tax is £154 for six months so a bit more than it'd be under the old system.  It's also the same as a 192bhp RX-8 and a 1.6-litre Daewoo Lanos, bizarrely.

I like that. TV2 may be getting the Spanish Archer (El Bow) soon, due to a [seemingly] pretty major oil leak, so I could very well be interested if you still have it in a week or so.

This is still for sale.  I haven't been promoting it heavily as I keep driving it and deciding I want to keep it, but in my rare moments of rationality (of which I'm having one now), I realise that at the moment I can't really afford to keep it.
