Shiters Day out in Perthshire 10-08-14

If anyone does actually want to come along and isn't going to some other shite we'll be leaving Dunfermline around 1130. There'll be 4 cars when we get to Kinross but who knows if anyone else will turn up when we get to Pitlochry.

It'll be worth going for the scenic drive if nothing else...

Full marks for dogged endurance.... looks like stunning scenery too. Probably ;-)

Sorry I didn't make it along. Got detained by work.

Who's got the yellow T5R? Would it be the gentleman who had the shitty black T5R with the duck tape wing, which he scrapped?

Nasty little blighters they are. Hopefully it won't have done any damage.

Really should give the proton a clean...

I've just found a tick attached to me back (nearly 24hours later!) and am now off to get checked out for Lyme's Disease.

I'd encourage the rest of you to do the same.

Annoyingly, the damn thing doesn't want to die.

Hope it's all good.

Will check after work too.

Cheers chaps...that's who I thought it was. Didn't realise he still worked for Upullit though. Useful...

Hope you're okay after the tick bite, Tayne. Nasty little bastards, aren't they? At least it looks like it came off clean.

Some of that grass was quite long and absolutely soaking, no suprise there was stuff lurking, its a much better experience in winter when everythings died down and theres no nasty critters lying in wait.

I cant seem to find any but might be better getting checked out as lymes can be quite bad

Well, I'm not dead.

Tried and tested positive outcome statement.

Good pics, I should have looked at the house.

DVLA says the P38 is on SORN and has been for eight years!

My inner numberplate nerd can also tell you it started life in Carlisle (okay, Old Man's Civic has an AO plate).

Spotted the Ghostbusters W124 in Inverness yesterday.

I had an infected tick bite recently, it might have been Lyme disease. Course of antibiotics saw the inflammation fade.

I'm afraid I've let this one lapse a little, the tick bite infection and then the industrial strength penicillin has meant I've had very little energy so haven't bothered with things like this.

However...

Are they still aquiring cars to join the field of rotting chod then?  MoT only ran out on this one last december, yet it looks like its bedded in to be a long term resident.

Diesel too so probably still has a reasonable sale value.

The Lada is class. How much hassle was it to get going? and are you actually looking to get it back on the road?

Me! And since you can now buy a new chassis, I'm thinking all I'll need is a few rolls of gaffer tape and BES 72V will be good to go. Ace.

Last time we were there he cleaned the points of the lada, put a new battery on and tipped some petrol into the carb and it fired up.
