Jings, that's a bit of a rag-tag selection isn't it?

I wouldn't have the Mondy because it's a diseasel, I wouldn't have the Citroen because it's a Citroen and I wouldn't have the High&dry because I wouldn't want an auto one so that leaves the Merc.

180ks are pretty pleasant to drive but a bit juicy. Get an Alfa 159 what could go wrong?

The last civics are pretty good ive not heard much bad about the petrols or diesels. The interiors are like a space ship too. Pwuuu pwuuu

Mondeo=shit and over priced.

C4 seems v.expensive for a 2006 car, ditto Hi-and-dry

C-class probably best bet.

That mondeo is a bit dear.

Merc is best out of the three, but why those three?

Merc's OK but could be coming up for a timing chain, sure i heard the 1.8 is a Mitsi engine (check this is the case) with a single timing chain and does have to be replaced, not cheap, you might need to peruse a MB forum for better advice on this unless somebody here is genned up, as i might have it all arse backards.

A good service history is a must with MB's, they will not stand neglect, gearbox should have had one oil change already @ around 40k, if its been missed it won't be the end of the world but should be done.

The Hyundai is a better car than you might imagine, things like exhausts might be a tad expensive as the pattern industry won't be quite so geared up as some others, the 2.0 litre is reckoned to be the best of the three engines in that car, the larger 2.7 V6 isn't much quicker, whilst the 1.6 is a slug.

My son ragged the arse off cars in his younger madder days, bloody crucified cars he did (gears ripped completely out etc), his Accent MVi and (previous model) Coupe F2, were the only cars he owned that he couldn't break, reliable as old school Japanese.

Mondy Diesel a ticking time bomb, might not go off, might take his wallet out if it does.
